In Vedic astrology, the Panchang is a daily almanac based on five elements: Tithi (lunar day), Vara (weekday), Nakshatra (lunar mansion), Yoga (luni-solar combination), and Karana (half-tithi). Together, these five limbs determine the auspiciousness of any given day and are consulted for planning ceremonies, travel, business ventures, and other important activities (Muhurta selection).
