Antardasha (Bhukti)

In Vedic astrology, an Antardasha (also called Bhukti) is a sub-period within each Mahadasha. It brings a secondary planetary influence that modifies the dominant Mahadasha theme. For example, during a Jupiter Mahadasha, a Saturn Antardasha combines expansion with discipline. The interaction between Mahadasha and Antardasha lords determines the specific quality of that time period.
