In Christian theology, the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) — the active, indwelling presence of God that guides, comforts, convicts, and empowers believers. The Holy Spirit descended as a dove at Jesus' baptism and as tongues of fire at Pentecost. In spiritual practice, the Holy Spirit is sought for wisdom, discernment, and the cultivation of spiritual fruits.
