Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP) astrology uses a precise sub-lord system for highly accurate predictions. Enter your birth details to see your KP chart with sub-lord analysis and house significators.
Deluxe Astrology's KP Astrology calculator uses the Krishnamurti Paddhati sub-lord system — dividing each Nakshatra into 9 unequal sub-lords using the Vimshottari Dasha proportions — to generate house cusps, star lords, sub-lords, and significators for precise event prediction.
KP (Krishnamurti Paddhati) astrology was developed by K.S. Krishnamurti in the mid-20th century as a precision upgrade to traditional Vedic prediction methods. The system's central innovation is the sub-lord: each Nakshatra (2°13'20" arc) is subdivided into 9 further sections proportional to the Vimshottari Dasha planet periods, creating 249 unique sub-lord zones across the zodiac. In KP, a house event is predicted to occur only when three factors align: the significators (planets ruling the relevant houses), the operating dasha-antardasha periods, and a favorable transit of the cuspal sub-lord. This triple-confirmation rule makes KP predictions significantly more precise than sign-level or even Nakshatra-level methods.
The cuspal sub-lord is the single most important factor in KP astrology. Every house cusp falls inside a specific planet's Nakshatra (its star lord) and, within that, inside one of nine sub-divisions ruled by another planet — that planet is the cuspal sub-lord. It is the cuspal sub-lord, not the sign or house lord, that decides whether a house's promise is fulfilled or denied.
This KP calculator computes the cuspal sub-lord for all twelve houses automatically. It places each cusp using the Placidus system and the KP Ayanamsha (23°02'), then resolves the star lord and sub-lord from the 249-zone sub-lord map — returning each house's cuspal sub-lord, its significators, and whether that house favours the event you are timing, the same analysis a KP astrologer performs by hand.
