Composite Chart

A composite chart treats the relationship as a third entity — not you, not them, but the thing that exists between you. It's calculated by finding the exact midpoint between each pair of planets: your Sun and their Sun, your Moon and their Moon, your Venus and their Venus. The resulting chart has its own Ascendant, its own house placements, its own aspects. Where synastry asks "how do we affect each other?", the composite asks "what is this relationship about?"

The composite Sun shows the core purpose of the relationship — what you're building together. Composite Sun in the 10th house? A power couple visible in their community. In the 4th? The relationship is about creating a home, a private sanctuary. The composite Moon reveals the emotional climate: Moon in Scorpio means intense emotional depth (and intense fights). Moon in Gemini means endless conversation but potential emotional surface-skating.
