When these planets form a conjunction (same sign) or trine (120 degrees apart), the attraction is typically effortless and mutual. The scanner takes both partners' birth data (date, time, location) and runs three parallel analyses: Venus-Mars synastry for physical chemistry and attraction patterns, Moon-Moon compatibility for emotional resonance, and Ashtakoot Milan for structural Vedic compatibility. Each dimension is scored independently and combined into an overall relationship health percentage.
The score reflects real planetary positions calculated using NASA JPL DE431 ephemeris data — the same precision used by space agencies. The astrological interpretation layer follows classical Parashari rules for aspect scoring (trines = harmony, squares = tension). Accuracy improves significantly with exact birth times; without birth time, the Moon sign and house placements may shift, affecting the emotional compatibility dimension most.
Birth times are optional but strongly recommended. Without birth time, the calculator uses a noon chart, which may misplace the Moon by up to 6 degrees — enough to change the Nakshatra and affect Ashtakoot scoring. The Venus-Mars synastry and Sun sign dimensions remain accurate regardless of birth time.
The six dimensions are: Overall Harmony (composite score), Emotional Bond (Moon aspects), Physical Chemistry (Venus-Mars contacts), Communication Style (Mercury aspects), Growth Potential (Jupiter-Saturn contacts), and Karmic Connection (North Node aspects).
