How accurate is the relationship compatibility score?
The score reflects real planetary positions calculated using NASA JPL DE431 ephemeris data — the same precision used by space agencies. The astrological interpretation layer follows classical Parashari rules for aspect scoring (trines = harmony, squares = tension). Accuracy improves significantly with exact birth times; without birth time, the Moon sign and house placements may shift, affecting the emotional compatibility dimension most.
Do I need both partners' birth times?
Birth times are optional but strongly recommended. Without birth time, the calculator uses a noon chart, which may misplace the Moon by up to 6 degrees — enough to change the Nakshatra and affect Ashtakoot scoring.
