Tārā is the world's first AI that reads your birth chart through Western, Vedic, and Chinese astrology simultaneously — and reveals where all three traditions agree about your life.
The Blind Spot in Every Astrology App
Every astrology app gives you one perspective. CoStar shows your Western tropical chart. AstroSage shows your Vedic sidereal chart. Chinese astrology apps show your BaZi Four Pillars.
But your birth happened in ALL of these systems simultaneously. The planets don't change because you picked a different tradition. What changes is the lens — how each tradition interprets the same celestial moment.
And when all three traditions agree about something in your life, that signal is extraordinary. That's what Tārā finds.
Tropical zodiac • Placidus houses
Sidereal zodiac • Whole Sign houses
Four Pillars • Five Elements
Same birth. Three truths. What happens when they ALL agree?
How It Works
Date, time, and place of birth. That's all Tārā needs. Our engine handles the rest — geocoding, timezone conversion, and three simultaneous calculations.
Using NASA JPL ephemeris data, Tārā computes your Western tropical chart, Vedic sidereal chart with Lahiri ayanamsa, and Chinese BaZi Four Pillars — all from a single birth moment.
Our AI compares all three charts across five life domains — Love, Career, Wellness, Growth, and Social — and calculates a convergence score showing where the ancient traditions agree about your life.

The Science Behind the Lens
Our calculations aren't pulled from a horoscope database or approximated from sun-sign tables. Every planetary position in your chart is computed using astronomical models derived from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory ephemeris data — the same mathematical models used to navigate Voyager, Cassini, and Mars rovers through deep space.
The astronomy-engine library we use is verified against JPL Horizons and NOVAS C 3.1 operating on the DE405 ephemeris. Your planet positions are accurate to within half a degree across 6,000 years of calculations.
This isn't mysticism with a science veneer. This is real astronomical precision applied to an ancient interpretive framework — three of them, actually.

Tārā is a free AI astrology tool that reads your birth chart through three ancient traditions simultaneously - Western tropical, Vedic sidereal, and Chinese BaZi - then surfaces the places where all three agree. That agreement is the convergence score: a measure of how structurally present a theme is across independent symbolic systems, rather than an artefact of any single tradition.
Most astrology tools use one tradition and optimise for personality description. Tārā uses three and optimises for cross-tradition convergence. Your birth chart is analysed across five lenses - self, love, career, destiny, and inner world - with each lens read through all three traditions in parallel. Where Western, Vedic, and Chinese astrology independently arrive at the same pattern, Tārā prioritises and deepens the interpretation. Where they diverge, you see which layer each tradition is reading and why.
The astronomical computation uses NASA JPL DE431 ephemeris data, Lahiri ayanamsa for Vedic calculations, and traditional solar-term calendars for BaZi four-pillars. Date and place are required; birth time is strongly recommended for full house and ascendant analysis. No registration required for the core reading.
Multi-tradition astrology reads the same birth chart through multiple astrological systems — in Tārā’s case, Western tropical, Vedic sidereal, and Chinese BaZi. Each tradition uses different calculation methods, zodiac references, and interpretive frameworks, so a theme that surfaces in all three is far more structurally significant than one appearing in only one tradition.
The convergence score measures how strongly a given theme or life domain appears across Western, Vedic, and Chinese interpretations of your birth chart. A high score means all three traditions independently point toward the same pattern; a low score means the insight is present in only one system and should be weighted accordingly.
Most AI astrology apps use one tradition — almost always Western tropical — and optimise for personality description. Tārā uses three traditions simultaneously and optimises for convergence across them, so you can see where ancient systems agree and where they diverge. Single-tradition apps cannot tell you which of their insights are structurally deep versus stylistically pretty.
Western and Vedic astrology use different zodiacs — tropical versus sidereal — which means your Sun sign is often different in each system. When they disagree, each is reading a different layer of the same chart. Vedic typically speaks to karmic structure and life-path; Western typically speaks to psychological style and personality. Disagreement is informative, not contradictory.
Yes. The full Tārā reading across all five lenses is free for every user. Advanced features such as transit forecasting, synastry, and the Akashic Blueprint are available through Deluxe Astrology’s paid plans and credit purchases.
The astronomical computation is exact: Tārā uses NASA JPL DE431 ephemeris data, Lahiri ayanamsa for Vedic calculations, and Chinese solar-term calendars for BaZi. Interpretive accuracy depends on the quality of your birth data — especially birth time — and on the nature of astrology itself, which is a framework for reflection rather than deterministic prediction.
Date and place are required. Birth time is strongly recommended: without it, the ascendant and house placements cannot be computed and roughly half the reading depth is lost. Tārā still produces a Sun/Moon/planets reading without birth time, but the five-lens synthesis is much richer when houses are available.
Each tradition evolved in isolation across different civilisations over thousands of years, yet all three map similar life domains through different symbolic systems. When patterns emerge across all three, you are seeing something structural about the chart rather than an artefact of any single tradition’s interpretive style. Convergence across independent systems is the strongest available signal in symbolic astrology.
