How does Cosmic Match find my partner?

We combine two systems: Vedic Ashtakoot matching (the traditional 36-point compatibility system used for thousands of years in Indian marriages) with Western synastry (comparing the angles between each person's planets). We then layer in your Cosmic Compatibility Quiz responses covering values, life goals, and family expectations. The result is a multi-dimensional Cosmic Score from 0–100%. We only notify you when someone scores 75% or higher.

What is a Cosmic Score?

Your Cosmic Score combines your Vedic Ashtakoot score (out of 36), Western synastry aspects including Venus-Mars chemistry and Moon sign harmony, 7th house alignment (the house of partnerships in astrology), Nakshatra compatibility, and your values quiz alignment. A score above 80% indicates exceptional compatibility. 75–80% is strong with natural harmony. Below 75%, we do not surface the match.

How long will it take to find a match?

We will be honest: it depends on the size of the member database and how specific your cosmic profile is. In early access, you might wait days or a few weeks. We will notify you the instant a qualifying match joins. We will never show you a lower-quality match just to fill your feed. The wait is part of what makes Cosmic Match different — and worth it.

How many matches will I receive?

Plus members receive up to 3 curated cosmic matches per day. Guru members receive up to 7 per day with priority queue access. You will never see an infinite scrollable feed of profiles. Each match comes with a full explanation of why the algorithm surfaced them for you.

Can I search for matches myself?

No. Cosmic Match deliberately does not allow open browsing of the member database. All matches are surfaced by the algorithm. This is intentional — it prevents the choice paralysis and superficial swiping that makes other apps exhausting. Trust the stars.

What birth data do I need?

Date of birth, time of birth (as precise as possible), and place of birth. Exact birth time is important because it determines your Moon sign, Ascendant, and house placements — all critical for accurate matching. If you are unsure of your exact time, check your birth certificate or ask a family member. You can also upload your birth certificate for a Precision Chart badge, which improves match accuracy and is shown on your profile.

Are the profiles on Cosmic Match real people?

Yes. Every profile is manually reviewed by our team before it becomes visible to other members. We check photos, verify intent, and remove any profile that shows signs of being fake, automated, or deceptive. We do not use shared databases, bot-seeded profiles, or any artificial activity to make the platform appear more active. Every profile you see is a real person who has declared their serious intent.

How does identity verification work?

Phone verification is required for all members. Optional ID verification (government ID photo) earns a Verified Badge and adds 30 points to your Cosmic Trust Score. Uploading your birth certificate for precise chart calculation adds a Precision Chart badge. Higher Trust Scores improve your match priority and visibility to other verified members.

What is the Cosmic Trust Score?

Your Trust Score (0–100) reflects how verified and complete your profile is. It is calculated from: phone verified (+20), ID verified (+30), photo verified (+20), birth certificate uploaded (+15), profile 100% complete (+15). Members with higher Trust Scores are shown first in match queues and their profiles receive a visual trust indicator.

What happens if I encounter a suspicious profile or behaviour?

Use the Report button on any profile or conversation. Our team reviews all reports within 24 hours. Confirmed violations result in immediate permanent removal. We have zero tolerance for misrepresentation, harassment, or scam behaviour.

Is Cosmic Match safe for women and vulnerable users?

We have designed the platform with safety at the centre. All new members are manually reviewed. No one can contact you until you have mutually revealed. You can block and report any user at any time. We do not display your exact location, only broad region. Premium members can enable incognito mode.

Is my birth data and personal information safe?

Your birth data is used exclusively for compatibility calculations. It is never shared with third parties, never sold to advertisers, and never used for any purpose other than generating your chart and finding your matches. Your photos are stored in encrypted cloud storage and are only visible to potential matches we surface — not publicly browsable.

Can I delete my profile and data?

Yes, completely and permanently. Deactivating your profile hides you from the platform instantly. Permanently deleting removes your profile, photos, birth data, match history, and all conversations from our systems. This action cannot be undone. We do not retain your data after deletion.

Do you share or sell my data?

Never. We do not show advertisements on Cosmic Match. We do not share your personal information with any third party. We do not use your data to train AI models. Your information exists on our platform for one purpose: helping you find your cosmic partner.

Is Cosmic Match free to join?

Yes. Joining as a Founding Member is completely free. The first 500 members receive permanent Founding Member benefits including lifetime discounted access, priority matching for the first 90 days, and a Founding Star badge on their profile. After the founding cohort, Cosmic Match features are available on Plus and Guru plans.

What is a Founding Member?
