The Panchang is the Hindu calendar that reveals daily auspicious and inauspicious timings. Check Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana, and Rahukaal for your city.
Deluxe Astrology's Panchang calculator uses NASA JPL DE431 ephemeris data with the Lahiri ayanamsha to compute all five daily elements — Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana, and Vara — for 130+ cities worldwide, updated daily at sunrise for local time accuracy.
The Panchang (Sanskrit for "five limbs") is the traditional Vedic almanac that governs auspicious timing in Hindu life. The five elements are: Tithi (lunar day, based on the Sun-Moon angular difference), Nakshatra (the lunar mansion the Moon occupies), Yoga (the combined motion of Sun and Moon, 27 in total), Karana (half a Tithi — 11 types cycling through the month), and Vara (the weekday and its ruling planet). Each combination of these five elements creates a unique energy signature for every moment of every day. Certain Tithis are ideal for new beginnings, others for fasting or worship. Certain Nakshatras support marriage and travel; others are avoided for these activities. The Panchang is the foundation of all Muhurta (auspicious timing) selection.
