Transit Today
See the current positions of all planets in the Vedic sidereal zodiac. Understand today's cosmic weather and how it affects the world.
Deluxe Astrology's Transit Today uses NASA JPL DE431 ephemeris data with the Lahiri ayanamsha to compute all nine Vedic planet positions in real time - showing each planet's current Rashi (sidereal sign), Nakshatra, Nakshatra Pada, and retrograde status, updated continuously.
In Vedic astrology, transits (Gochar) measure how the current planetary positions interact with your natal chart. The most significant transit is Jupiter's annual sign change - moving one Rashi every 12 months, it shifts which life domains receive expansion and grace. Saturn's slow 2.5-year transit through each sign governs lessons and karmic work. The Moon's rapid movement (changing Nakshatra every ~13 hours) creates the texture of daily emotional life. Knowing today's transit positions lets you understand the backdrop against which your personal Dasha periods are playing out.

Retrograde Alert
5 planets are currently retrograde. Retrograde periods invite reflection and review in the areas these planets govern.
Mercury retrograde disrupts communication, technology, and travel. Review contracts carefully, back up data, and avoid starting new ventures. Reconnecting with old friends or revisiting past projects is favored.
Venus retrograde turns love inward. Past relationships may resurface for healing. Avoid major beauty changes or big purchases. Reassess what you truly value in love and finances.
Saturn retrograde eases external pressure but intensifies inner discipline. Past karmic lessons return for review. Restructure foundations that need strengthening.
Rahu retrograde (its natural motion) intensifies worldly desires and obsessions. Stay aware of where ambition overrides integrity.
Ketu retrograde (its natural motion) deepens spiritual detachment and past-life recall. Psychic sensitivity and mystical experiences may intensify.
