The Reflector is the rarest and most unique type in the Human Design system. Making up roughly 1 percent of the population, Reflectors have no defined Centers in their bodygraph. Every single Center is open, creating a design that is fundamentally different from every other type. If you are a Reflector, you are not broken, empty, or lacking. You are a mirror -- designed to sample, reflect, and amplify the energy of the world around you.

Having all Centers open means that everything you experience energetically comes from your environment and the people in it. You taste the Sacral energy of Generators, the initiating force of Manifestors, the focused perception of Projectors -- and you experience all of it more intensely than they do, because your openness amplifies what it takes in. This makes you extraordinarily sensitive to the health of your community, your workplace, and your relationships. You are, quite literally, a barometer for the wellbeing of the people and places around you.

Your strategy is Wait a Lunar Cycle. This sounds extreme by modern standards, but it is rooted in the mechanics of your design. Because you have no fixed definition, your chart is activated by the transiting celestial bodies -- particularly the Moon, which moves through all 64 Gates in approximately 28.5 days. Over the course of a full lunar cycle, you experience every possible configuration of your chart. You get to feel what it is like to have each Center defined, to taste every authority, to try on every perspective. Only after completing this full cycle do you have enough information to make a clear decision about significant life choices.

This does not mean you need 28 days to decide what to have for lunch. The lunar cycle strategy applies to major decisions -- career changes, relationship commitments, relocations, large investments. For smaller daily decisions, you can use your moment-to-moment sense of what feels right, informed by the transiting gates of that particular day.

The signature of a Reflector living correctly is surprise. When you are in the right environment, surrounded by healthy people, and making decisions aligned with your lunar rhythm, life unfolds in ways that consistently delight and surprise you. You cannot predict what comes next, and that unpredictability is actually the magic of your design. You are not meant to plan and control your life the way other types might. Disappointment is the not-self theme, and it carries a particular weight for Reflectors.
